On June 8, 2023, Professor Olena Melnyk visited the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague as part of the “University – Communities: Strengthening Cooperation” (UNICOM) project. The following issues were on the agenda of the meeting of employees of the Czech University and colleagues from the Sumy National Agrarian University:
- – bioenergy as a huge potential resource for replacing traditional fossil fuels in Ukraine;
- – cost-effective housing and green solutions in urban planning to accept climate change;
- – bioindication and other methods of assessing soil pollution and carbon absorption potential;
- – strengthening cooperation between universities and communities for the post-war green recovery of Ukraine.
Professor Olena Melnyk presented the project “University – Communities: Strengthening Cooperation” (UNICOM) and its first results to the participants of the seminar.
